Insights from the Tiong Woon Corporation Site Visit
An invite-only group of KOLs, remisiers, analysts, investors and media representatives attended a corporate site visit to Tiong Woon Corporation on 19 October 2026, as part of an initiative by SGListCos and SGX Group.
The session opened with remarks from Tiong Woon Corporation's CEO, Michael Ang, who provided an overview of the Group's milestones, regional presence and business outlook. He also highlighted Tiong Woon’s position as one of Southeast Asia’s leading crane-owning companies, ranked 15th globally in the 2026 IC100 Global Crane Ranking.
Founded in 1978 and listed on the SGX Mainboard since 1999, Tiong Woon has built an integrated business spanning heavy lifting, heavy haulage, marine transportation and engineering services. The Group differentiates itself as an integrated, one-stop service provider by managing projects from the planning and design of heavy-lifting and haulage requirements through transportation, lifting and installation at clients’ facilities. Supported by its ownership and operation of heavy equipment, tugboats and barges, the Group can deliver integrated services with greater flexibility and efficiency, while enhancing reliability and turnaround times for clients, thus strengthening its competitive positioning.
William Tan (CFO of Tiong Woon Corporation), also shared insights into the Group's financial performance and track record. He highlighted that the Group’s return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA) had increased for nine consecutive years, reflecting the importance of operational efficiency, effective asset utilisation and disciplined capital allocation in supporting long-term growth.
A highlight of the visit was the tour of Tiong Woon’s headquarters, including a look at their first-of-its-kind rooftop crane storage facility with capacity for up to 100 cranes. This offered participants a closer view of the Group's specialised equipment and operational capabilities, including how its facilities support the management and deployment of its extensive crane fleet.
Participants also learned about Tiong Woon’s expansion efforts, as they continue to build their presence across regional markets, including Thailand and the Middle East, while also expanding their capabilities in integrated heavy-lift and engineering services. Looking ahead, the Group is focused on strengthening its core capabilities and capturing opportunities in new end-markets such as data centres, semiconductors, and biopharmaceuticals.
The site visit concluded with a Q&A and networking session, allowing participants to engage further with TWC's management and exchange perspectives with fellow market participants.
Through its Corporate Site Visit programme, SGListCos, in collaboration with SGX Group, continues to facilitate direct engagement between listed companies and the capital markets community, offering participants a closer look at the operations behind Singapore’s listed companies.
