Insights from the Pan United Corporation Corporate Site Visit

As part of an SGListCos and SGX Group initiative, an invite-only group of KOLs, remisiers, trading representatives, analysts and investors visited Pan-United Corporation at their Innovation and Command Centre to gain first-hand insights into the company's innovation-driven ecosystem and its role as a global leader in sustainable concrete solutions.

The session opened with welcome remarks and an overview by Jim Teh, who shared Pan-United Corporation’s evolution since its founding in 1958. Participants learned that the company has grown from a specialised workshop into Singapore’s market leader in ready-mix concrete (RMC), with a vertically integrated business comprising cement, aggregates and concrete, and a significant footprint across Southeast Asia.

A core focus of the visit was Pan-United Corporation’s commitment to decarbonising the built environment. With a strong team of scientists and engineers, the company has consistently invested in R&D to drive product innovation. Notably, low-carbon concrete now comprises over 60% of total sales volume in Singapore, and the company is currently the world’s top producer of carbon mineralised concrete, leveraging cutting-edge carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technology.

The visit continued with a guided tour where attendees were introduced to AiR Digital, a proprietary end-to-end optimisation technology. This platform uses embedded AI to automate decision-making and provide live data across the entire supply chain - from cement factories to real-time production and delivery tracking, including visible metrics on CO2 reduction.

Participants also explored the specialised laboratories where scientists develop over 300 types of concrete. Highlights included learning about bespoke "recipes" for different concrete needs and a visit to the petrography room, demonstrating how the company tailor-makes cement to meet specific customer requirements for strength and density.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A with Mr Ken Loh, CEO, who outlined the Group’s forward-looking strategy. He emphasised that while ready-mix concrete remains the core business, the focus is firmly on driving sustainable growth, maintaining strong cash generation, and advancing the global innovation and monetisation of the AiR Digital platform.

This visit is one of several SGListCos and SGX Group initiatives that promote direct engagement between market professionals and Singapore-listed corporates. More corporate site visits are planned, continuing efforts to strengthen connections and deepen understanding across the community – stay tuned!
