As part of a joint SGListCos and SGX Group initiative, analysts, investors, remisiers, media representatives, and market professionals participated in a corporate site visit to NTI Nanofilm to gain first-hand insights into how a Singapore-founded company is redefining possibilities in vacuum coating technologies and advanced materials engineering.

During the visit, NTI Nanofilm's CFO, Kay Lim, provided an overview of the company's journey from its founding in 1999 to its future ambitions, explaining the science behind PVD, CVD, and electroplating, and how achieving a plasma state, where ions rather than atoms drive the coating process, forms the foundation of superior coating performance.

The visit also highlighted Dr. Shi's innovation of the Filtered Cathodic Vacuum Arc (FCVA) technique during his research at Nanyang Technological University Singapore, which NTI Nanofilm has advanced and commercialised. By combining this innovation with in-house engineering expertise to design and produce coating sources and integrated equipment, NTI Nanofilm has built a robust technological platform delivering comprehensive coating solutions across multiple industries.

Participants were given the opportunity to tour the company's facilities, including demonstrations of Sydrogen Energy coating applications, ultrasonic spray and soldering machines and the Hydrogen Test Centre with its self-developed fuel-cell testing bench. A highlight was the compact hydrogen power generator - a cleaner, smaller alternative to diesel units for mobile and outdoor energy use such as at pasar malams.

This visit is one of several SGListCos and SGX Group initiatives designed to promote direct engagement between market professionals and Singapore-listed corporates.
