Response to Investor Recourse Public Consultation
SGListCos convened a closed-door consultation session on 28 November 2025, for corporate members to share views on the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)'s proposals to strengthen investor recourse within the broader Equities Market Review effort.
The session explored feedback on the introduction of a designated representative for collective action, the structure of potential funding support for investor claims, refinements to the piggyback mechanism, adjustments to evidentiary requirements and the proposed removal of statutory compensation caps. Members also contributed additional operational and implementation insights to support a balanced and effective framework.
This consultation forms part of SGListCos' Thought Leadership and Advocacy pillar, serving as a platform for industry perspectives and acting as a trusted channel to sound out new initiatives and review the relevance of ongoing regulatory requirements.
Looking ahead, SGListCos remains committed to advancing its three pillars by strengthening industry advocacy, fostering a connected and engaged corporate community and supporting the professional development of investor relations capabilities across Singapore's listed companies.
SGListCos appreciates the strong engagement and thoughtful input offered by participants, which will help shape a balanced and constructive consolidated submission to MAS.
