Inside a Human-Centric Technology Company: Insights from the StarHub Corporate Site Visit

As part of an SGListCos and SGX Group initiative, investors, KOLs, remisiers and trading representatives took part in a corporate site visit to StarHub to gain first-hand insights into the company's 25-year journey and its evolution as a human-centric technology provider.

CEO Nikhil Eapen: StarHub's Vision

The session opened with CEO Nikhil Eapen, who described StarHub as an "icon" and a "true Singapore startup", noting that the company "invented the hubbing concept". He highlighted StarHub's long-term ambition to deliver sustained shareholder value, emphasising that "value is not the same as price, value is in what we do", through premium offerings and efforts to stabilise the market.

Participants also gained a deeper understanding of StarHub's portfolio of consumer brands such as eight, giga! and MyRepublic, along with strategic partnerships with global content leaders including The Walt Disney Company and Netflix.

CFO Jacky Lo: Cost Optimisation Programme

CFO Jacky Lo then presented StarHub's four-pillar cost optimisation programme focused on legacy decommissioning, network and systems re-architecture and business simplification, underscoring the goal of "rightsizing StarHub's cost structure".

Matt Williams: Consumer Business Leadership

This was followed by Matt Williams, Chief of Consumer Business Group, who outlined StarHub's leading positions in mobile, broadband and entertainment, and explained how its challenger brands deliver tailored solutions to diverse customer segments.

Kit Yong Tan: Digital Infrastructure & Regional Enterprise

The session concluded with Kit Yong Tan, Chief of Regional Enterprise Business, who explained that "digital infrastructure forms the backbone of smart nation initiatives" and highlighted StarHub's integrated approach across soft, physical to digital, and hard infrastructure layers. He also showcased regional use cases across sectors such as education, transportation, real estate and retail.

Q&A and Networking

The presentations were followed by an engaging Q&A session and networking over refreshments, giving participants the opportunity to exchange perspectives and deepen understanding of StarHub's strategy and growth priorities.
